Delete your Kototap account
This page describes how to delete your account and associated data for Kototap, the Japanese reading app by Pounce Studio LLC.
How to delete your account
In the app:
- Open Kototap and go to Settings
- Tap Delete account and confirm
Deletion takes effect immediately — no waiting period, no confirmation email required.
If you can no longer access the app, email gary@kototap.com from the email address registered to your account and we will delete the account for you.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes, immediately:
- Your account and sign-in identity (email address, and any linked Google or Apple sign-in)
- All learning data: reading history, story sessions, vocabulary and grammar progress, and settings
- Usage analytics events associated with your account
What is kept
- Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being purged
- Crash reports contain no account identity and expire automatically within 90 days
